Documentary Wedding Photography

Your wedding day shouldn’t be about the photos—

the photos should be about your wedding.

Honest wedding photos you’ll love today and in 30 years

Your photos should bring back the nerves before your walk down the aisle, the belly laughs with lifelong friends, and the quiet moments of reflection.

The most meaningful memories can’t be planned or placed on a shot list—they happen when you’re fully present.

As your photographer, I create space for you to embrace your day, your people, and your love—documenting not just the big moments, but the in-between ones that make your story yours.

Your wedding day shouldn’t be about the photos—the photos should be about your wedding.

What’s in it for you?

  • I aim to photograph your day as it happened. Wedding days are chalk full of emotion and feelings. When you lean into that, beautiful and real photos are easy to capture.

  • When the photos become about the wedding day, you spend less time worrying about the timeline and more time experiencing your own wedding day. And when you get the photos back, you’ll be able to relive that experience all over again.

  • From the first call and up to the rehearsal dinner, it’s my goal to go from stranger to friend, understanding your story and needs along the way. Then, when the wedding day comes around, you can relax knowing that you have an experienced professional and friend in your corner celebrating with you and documenting the moments to be remembered.

  • The magic doesn’t end when you get your gallery back. I believe that photos that are tangible will stand the test of time. After the wedding, I’ll help you design a wedding album, pick out that perfect portrait for your mantle, or print out all of your favorite little moments to pass down to future generations.

FAQs

Do you still take “normal” portraits?

Of course. You’ll still get photos of you, your bridal party, and your family. In fact, these parts of the day are where I like the capture most of my favorite candid photos.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I travel for about half of my weddings. While I’m based in Nashville, TN, weddings have taken me all over the country and internationally. Any travel fees will be included in your customized package.

Do you shoot film?

Yes. On wedding days, I shoot a mix of medium format, 35mm film, and digital.
